Grilled Caesar Salad

Grilled romaine hearts add a smoky, roasty twist to this classic salad.



  • 1/2 cup Dannon® Oikos® Greek nonfat plain yogurt
  • 3 Tbsp. shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire
  • Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
  • 2 Heads Romaine Lettuce, cut in half length wise Croutons (optional)


  1. In a small bowl, mix together yogurt, cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, mustard, garlic, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Cut each head of lettuce in half lengthwise. On the cut side of each romaine half, brush with 1/2 with 1 Tbsp. prepared dressing. Place cut side down on a preheated grill, and grill for 2-3 minutes or until marked.
  3. Place one half head of Romaine, cit side up on each salad plate, and drizzle each with 2 tablespoons dressing. Serve with additional cheese and croutons if desired.
